Good morning! First I want to apologize for not writing anything up lately. Work has taken over most of my time. My post E3 post will be done hopefully next week ( I know nearly a full month late) my Gears of War post has been put on the back burner. I have hit a writers block on it sorry Luc!
So what is this about? Starting July 9th, 2017 I will be starting my Road To Origins stream. I will be doing every mainline Assassin’s Creed game except the mobile and the side scroller games. The goal is to complete every game before the Tuesday October 27th, 2017 launch of Origins. My hope is to refresh everyone’s memory of the story line and get people ready for the new game which looks amazing. I will be doing this on the xbox one using the backward compatibility to do a few of the games. The rest will be done with their xbox one release.

So for anyone who was wondering I’ll be covering E3 this year and will be doing recaps of the games and major stories coming out of it this year. The Gears of War post I was working on is saved over on MS Word and will be finished hopefully after the E3 madness. So lets open up with the some speculations and predictions I want to see happen out of the expo this year! Starting with Nintendo….
Its that time of year again when the cold of winter ends and the warm embrace of spring and summer arrives and fans of gaming all flock to Los Angeles California for the biggest gaming convention this side of the Mississippi River. For many this is the open of the gates to what we’ll be seeing come the fall. For others this is for them to show what they’ve been working on and show off some of their new projects that they’ve been working on for the past few years.
Starting of with Our friends over at Nintendo!
With the Nintendo direct that was released today we got told that the Next Pokemon title for the Nintendo 3DS will be called Pokemon Ultra Moon and Sun. As a fan of Pokemon and growing up with the franchise I didn’t play sun or moon but I might pick up one of these two copies in November and try them out.
So what would I like to see out of Nintendo come E3? A new Metroid title and a Pokemon Coliseum style game like what was on the GameCube. If Metroid is to return hopefully they will go the Prime route and and do a full reboot of the franchise it most surely needs. Nintendo needs to look at their main franchises that isn’t named Mario or Zelda and push them out and see what fans will love and play. Doing this might help make the Switch a major contender come the holiday season and push both Microsoft and Sony to strive to make their games to keep up something that Nintendo as a whole really needs to go and do. Make good games and the people will come.
2. A new Donkey Kong game would be amazing to see come out on the switch with a maybe return to the side style play from the original Country series that made the franchise a classic that it is and a possible chance to maybe even do a N64 style game. I think fans would love to go and play as Donkey Kong and Diddy and friends again. Its been a couple years since the reboot of the DK country franchise and when I played it I felt like I stepped back in time to my childhood and was playing on the SNES again. I think this would be a great chance to introduce the next generation to a long time character in the Nintendo universe.
3. Super Smash Brothers. We’ll prob see a trailer or something or a hint so thats really it on it. Also Down B that is all. #Pikachu.
4. THIRD PARTY SUPPORT! This is a HUGE HUGE must for Nintendo they need to reach out and bring some major third party games to their console and show that they want to play ball. They are already getting Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on the switch and the possibility of Skyrim as well. Maybe DarkSiders III, Red Dead Redemption II? Hell even Star wars Battlefront II be interesting to see how that would work on the switch.
5. Take a risk. Nintendo has been known to play it close to the vest and keep things safe but I think this year they need to give us a F-Zero game we haven’t had one of those in years! Fans I think would rejoice at seeing Falco return to star in his own game. Star Fox would be another huge title to see on the switch and it be a nice follow up to the Wii U Fox game that was released.
Sony Playstation: Sony has had a strong couple years in front of both Nintendo and Microsoft but with this years E3 it seems that might be coming to a slow halt. With their past couple E3’s Sony has showed alot of games in development but no real time table for some of them to be launched. Yes they did get Last Guardian out and Last of Us as well but it seems Sony has forgotten recently to give fans a date of when they could possible get their hands on said games. Hopefully we’ll hear more about some of these dates and possible some new IPS.
Growing up I played Twisted Metal one of the most fun and rage inducing games next to Mario Kart when playing with friends the Twisted Metal franchise has fallen by the wayside over the years with the last installment Twisted Metal : Black being released on the Playstation 2. This would be a great year to hear the laugh of everyone’s favorite flaming head clown who drives a ice (S)cream truck and the voice of Calypso talking about the return to one of the most deadliest events known to man. I think this would be a huge return and it would show that sony has not forgotten about one of its hallmark franchises that people played growing up. If Twisted Metal Returns it be something that might be a game that pushes myself and others to maybe pick up a playstation 4….
2. With the remaster of Crash Bandicoot coming out soon I think it be a good time to announce the next Crash game to keep that train moving and it would help bring back another long dormant franchise out. I think Sony sees this as a chance to bring back Crash and even Jak And Dexter as both of these franchises have been on the asking list to return by long time fans and players all over the place.
3. Sony has fallen behind in my opinion with their racing franchise Gran Turismo. The last GT I played was on the PS3 and the game felt super sluggish and the cars felt like they were on ice half the time. But with the return of GT coming I think it be interesting to see how its going to deal with Microsoft Forza Motorsports 7 with how many fans have gravitated over to that franchise or even to I-Racing to get their real life racing fixed. Sony has to show they have whats in them show they are still one of the best companys at the forefront of the Racing genre and show that they can compete with the likes of Forza, Need For Speed,I-Racing and so many more. Best way to show they are serious get down and dirty and go to the races and talk with the drivers and teams.
4. I think Sony will be showing some kind of new IP this year that will actually have a release date but time will tell. Maybe a hint towards Kingdom Hearts 3? One can wish right? Or even DarkSiders III info….
5. Brand new character driven IP. That starts a new franchise and breaks the mold of some of the older games sony has done.

Now on to the Last company in this list! Microsofts Xbox.
Microsoft has been hurting since the launch of the xbox one console with its near disaster launch but they have slowly turned it around with the backwards compatibility and some great games. Hopefully this year with Scorpio being the headliner we’ll see MS fortune turn it’s self around…
Been itching to say this since the start but DARKSIDERS III! This would be a HUGE HUGE moment for the guys and gals over at GunFire Games to come out on the biggest stage and show off of the best franchise to touch the gaming market. With last months reveal the amount of hype ( I being one of them) that has appeared from the return of the legendary four horsemen and the fact its Fury to boot is going to be a amazing showing and I hope people are excited to once more step into the world of Darksiders once more!
2. Sega has hinted they are going to revive some of there dormant franchises would be amazing to see Chromehounds get a revive and come out on the scorpio and Xbox one. (see my recent Blog post about Chrome hounds!) If CH does appear this fan will be excited as hell.
3. With No major halo news going to be at E3 this year 343 has said they will have something small for us. Possible going to be the Halo Wars 2 story DLC or maybe and a huge off chance a spin off title like Halo 3: ODST or something that will hold us over until they are ready to announce the next halo title. Sorry people but Halo 3 Anniversary is not happening multiple people from 343 and Phil Spencer him self have confirmed its not happening.
4. A Kingdom Hearts 1.8/2.8 release on the xbox! this is the long shot out of all long shots but I really hope Phil and company get this to happen. With Kingdom Heart 3 suppose to launch on the xbox one/scorpio consoles it would be a no brainer to bring the full kingdom heart franchise over as well so new fans can get cozy with their favorite disney characters and follow Sora and friends story and catch up with the very large story.
5. Brand New IP that will help lead xbox to the future. Microsoft most certainly needs something new. Gears of War,Forza and Halo are the big three pushing and keeping xbox up there. But without a gears or Halo title to lead the way this year this leaves Forza a racing genre to hold the load and that can’t happen. MS needs some kind of big new IP to help relieve the load off forza and get people excited for. It can be a FPS or even a third person shooter or a RPG type of game. I would personally want another shooter something that is like Halo but not haloesque something new and refreshing.

Hello and welcome back! Sorry for the delay but I was out all weekend for my sisters wedding. So Today we’ll be talking about one of my favorite games of the Xbox 360 era and a game that made me a bigger fan of the mecha genre: CHROMEHOUNDS.
Created by FromSoft and published by Sega.
ChromeHounds was released on July 11, 2006. The game was created by Fromsoft the makers of DarkSouls and Published by SEGA. Unlike other Mech games like ArmorCore and MechWarrior, Chromehounds lets the player play in third person or first person mode and have nearly complete control over their Mech. The game had a wide range of reviews and mostly was positive on that front.
Chromehounds has a wide range of customizing ability, From building a quick scout tank to a long range artillery Juggernaut to a control and command center and a heavy hitting soldier role unit or doing what ever you wanted and make a HOUND that was strictly what ever you wanted it to be. This was one of the amazing things about this game was that the player had complete and utter control of how their HOUND looked and the color scheme on it. In the picture below you can see six types of HOUNDS you could make. You would go to the garage mode to build all kinds of HOUNDS and add weapons and paint schemes to your unit.

Chromehounds did have a single player story that went across multiple story arcs of different characters that gave the player a small sample size of the wider game when you would step into the matchmaking where the game ultimately shined. But for the story it was a nice addition to a something much bigger and let you see different kinds of HOUNDS. The game really shined when you went into matchmaking and joined the never ending war game mode that pitted, three in game nations against each other. The name of this mode was Neroimus War. Players could join groups or clans to take over the opposing foes areas. For the capital cities it would be 50,000 points to take it over. After the war would end the players would be allowed to change what nation they fought for and go to another one.

On August 7, 2009 Sega announced that they would be shutting off the online servers for the game and the following January 6, 2010 the servers were officially shut down and leaving players of the game to only being able to enter the single player mode. There is a online petitions going around on internet to try to convince both SEGA and FromSoft to make a sequel for the franchise. This was one of the games that I played during my highschool time period second to the other SEGA game Phantasy Star Universe which was another amazing game that sadly the following year on my birthday SEGA shut down as well.
Why would I want to see a return to this dormant franchise? Its amazing game and when you got into a 6v6 game mode things would get insane and you would be able to see what the other people in the world would be making and how the strategy’s of others would vary from game to game. Overall this was one if not the most fun and enjoyable Real Time Strategy games of the late 2000’s and opened the world to other big games that would follow after it.
Hopefully at this years E3 with the rumor from SEGA that they are looking at to revive some of their long dormant franchises ChromeHounds is on top of the big list that they have and it would be an amazing to see it appear on the big stage and be able to return to it once more for some insane fights and see franchise get a second chance.

Now to the important question HOW IN THE WORLD DID YOU GET A NAME LIKE REIKU78! Well that’s a funny story and I’ll give you a quick run down of it. Way back in 2002-2004 I used to Roleplay on American online ( Better known as AOL). I went through a bunch of iterations from being called Bobby, Raven, Garu, and many others. Lucky for me I had a few good friends that we finally just end up with Reiku. Also no people I was not born in 1978, I was born in 1992. The 78 stands for a year of a car I love.
I love sports, gaming, cars, and anime (WEEBO). My sports teams if you could not tell are the New York Mets, Rangers, Giants and Knicks. Out side of the NY teams, I’m a Oklahoma Sooner fan. Sports has been a huge part of my life and that was ingrained into my brain at a very early age and had to deal with being a fan of well possible the most worst teams in recent memory.
Try being a Mets fan or Rangers and nearly all your friends are Devils, Yankees fans and get told your team sucks day in and day out. Ya that’s what I went through. I bleed Blue,Orange, and Black, I’ll always wear my Rangers Sweater (Jersey) with pride, I’ll cheer (and curse and yell) at them but I’ll never break and go join some random ass team because I’m tired of seeing my teams lose. Lucky enough one team out of the four has gave me two world titles in my New York Football Giants (2007-2011). Actually not true I was 2 in 94 when the Rangers won their last title so kind of a white lie there. And I wasn’t even alive for the 86 world series or even the last Knicks championship.
Now to the other big question what will this blog partake to be? Mostly a place were I can put my throughts to paper. Talk about whats going on in the world of gaming,sports and cars. Mostly it will be the gaming part and be warned now alot of it will be about Halo and many others, but every now and then I’ll do a one off and I’ll inform y’all when I do that. Also I’m going to try at the end of most of these blogs is post a music video of a song or music genre I like so for this one I’m going to use the song that I based this title off “Road Less Traveled” By Lauren Alaina.
